GLE Journal is a record of some of the most ambitious, remarkable and visionary building projects of our time. Each journal is a compilation of philosophical and analytical reflections on exemplary projects and future directions of the built environment written by people who have worked with Green Leaf in the past.

This celebratory issue is a compilation of our most talked about articles over the last 5 years.

Resilient Design, in contrast to the phrase Sustainable Design, (which conjures up images of green buildings, renewable energy systems and eco-fatigue) embraces an old world of robustness, passive design, craftsmanship and resistance to the effects of climate change.

Adaptive re-use is proving to be effective means of delivering affordable and sustainable buildings. As government policy, economic stimuli and a growing sustainable consciousness align; there has never been a more appropriate time to consider refurbishing existing building stock.
